Free tool / Bookmark
Check it where you write it.
Select a listing description on your MLS, a portal or a draft in your email, click the Check with ListingLint bookmark, and the checker opens with that text already in it.
Add it to your browser
On a phone? Bookmarks like this are fiddly on phones. Open this page on your computer, or copy the description and paste it into the checker.
- Show your bookmarks bar. Press Ctrl+Shift+B (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+B (Mac) in Chrome, Edge or Firefox. In Safari, choose View, then Show Favorites Bar.
-
Drag this button onto the bar.
Check with ListingLint Drag it, don't click it.
- Use it. On any page, select the description (or click into the box you're typing it in) and click the bookmark. The checker opens in a new tab with your text and the flags.
Can't drag? Make the bookmark by hand
Create a new bookmark, name it Check with ListingLint, and paste this as its address (URL):
What it does, and doesn't do
- It reads only what you select, and only when you click it. It doesn't run on its own and can't see anything else on the page.
- Your text stays on your computer. It opens the checker in a new tab and hands the text over tab to tab (the browser's
postMessage, addressed to this site only). It isn't put in a web address, and the checker never uploads it. - It's the same checker as the free checker page, with the same rules, safer wording, MLS character count and fact lock.
- If your MLS blocks it (some editors sit in a locked frame), copy the text there and paste it into the checker. You'll get the same result.
- It's a word check, not legal advice. A clean result isn't a compliance sign-off. When in doubt, ask your broker.
Pass it to your office
It's free for every agent. Send your team this page, or the checker itself.
